ABOUT THE ARTIST

Dr. Sangeeta Parashar is a doctor by profession, but her passion for creativity knows no bounds. Her love for art and design can be seen in the interiors of her house and clinic, as well as in the clothes and jewelry that she designs on her own. As a doctor, she never had the time to pursue formal training in other things, but she was always drawn to the world of art.

She had been practicing stained glass painting for quite some time, which was her way of exploring her artistic side. However, after she moved to Dubai in 2006, she found herself too preoccupied with work to continue pursuing her passion. But everything changed when the pandemic hit in 2020. All of a sudden, she got a chance to slow down and rediscover herself in new ways. This provided her with the perfect opportunity to rekindle her passion for creativity.

Dr. Parashar delved into different forms of art, taking inspiration from various sources and learning through self-study and the internet. It was during this time that she came across resin art, which immediately caught her interest. She attended one or two workshops to gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of resin, and from there, her journey as a resin artist began. It has now been two years since she started exploring this art form.

Dr. Parashar finds the process of resin art fascinating, and she is always learning something new every day. She loves experimenting with mix media along with resin and is constantly exploring new techniques and possibilities. Over the past two years, she has taken part in a few group exhibitions, and her work has been well-received by the art community. Her dream is to have a solo exhibition one day, where she can showcase her work and share her passion for resin art with a wider audience.

As an abstract artist, Dr. Parashar draws inspiration from nature, her surroundings, and her emotions.
